These warriors had decimated the armies of a now long dead Mennesker king. The Mørkogis warriors were impervious to the blades, axes, and clubs of the Mennesker. They were unflinching even to the mighty blows of the greatest warriors the king had commanded. When all was thought lost, a miner came to the king's chamber to make a proposition. He tossed a pebble from hand to hand as he offered to defeat the Mørkogis army in exchange for wealth. At first, the king scoffed at the miner and waved him away. After two more staggering defeats and two more offers from the miner (each time demanding more), the king accepted. If he could defeat the Mørkogis Army then he would reward him with untold riches.''

Some thugs in the lower warrens need some roughing up. They have been giving Thane Karleibus Herlesen's tenants some trouble and he can't afford the time to send his own guards to take care of the situation. The newly formed Gunnar's Stone Company decide it best to take the local job before moving on to bigger, more high paying jobs.

The company's captains [[Guhrdenn Ongersen]] and [[UNNAMED JOE]] gather what information they can and quickly learn that a gang by the name of The Bronze Needles have their headquarters in the old stockades down by the docks. The fishermen and sailors are careful what they say openly, but it isn't too hard to get them to share what they know.
