Main: Stone Company Saga

Gunnar, you've battled the skyggemen before. Not in an all out battle because, yes, they tend to use light armor and ambush during Kveldtid (when both suns are at the horizon and Hjem is at its darkest). You are surprised to see that they attacked the road so near High Blalystid. The cover of trees where the ambush happened must have provided some cover. Some whisper that Skyggemen are not born as Skyggemen but are Mennesker transformed. Gunnar has neither proved or disproved this. Gunnar has fought few and killed one. The acid that spewed from the creature bursting from the Skyggeman's chest burnt clean through your armor and left a scar as a reminder. You didn't get a good look at the thing, except notice it was black violet - as the shadows cast at Kveldtid. When you were done throwing off your armor, the creature was nowhere to be seen except for the hole it burrowed in the ground beneath you.

The Stone Company travels north of the road in pursuit of the Skyggemen, the unfortunate Crow, and (you assume) the Jarl taken prisoner.

After a half-del of travel, you come across what appears to be a place they must have stopped at for a brief time. Two crow lie slaughtered at one end of the camp. You see large bite marks in their flesh, even some flesh torn from their bodies.

Bjornanam's face goes white as he asks, "They eat Mennesker flesh? What are we doing? Who cares about some Jarl? Let's just get the hell out of here and get paid behind the safety of the keep at Klofningar".

"Would you rather hide like a timid girl? If safety is what you wanted, better to be a carrot farmer than a warrior. We are here to protect our people, to kill when we must, and die honorably if we are fortunate." Gerhdunn replies.

Bjornanam's shakes his head, looking to the other mercs for reassurance. A handful of them look around in return, but the silence is broken by a few giving hearty laughs at Gehrdunn's comment. Bjornanam nods at your words, gulps, swings his axe in practice, while shaking his head clear.

Ragugm inspects the campsite and reports that they only just left here less than a deluke ago. "There were more than a dozen. A couple horses. More crow feathers about."

There are no Skyggemen bodies here. Just the two crow. You assume crow as they have been dragged, picked clean, and have remnants of crow feathers sewn into clothing. Ragugm shares, "The tracks look like Mennesker tracks. Can't tell 'em apart except for these are probably being dragged by a rope or something behind a horse."

Aginey runs to you with something in hand, "Shit, look what I found. A lady's bonnet. Bloodied."

The Company keeps up their double time pace onward in pursuit.

Recon Contest

  • Recon Skill = 16, -5 (no security), +1 (1.5x faster than opponent), -1 (forced march)
  • Stone Company wins initiative, gains DB+2, and chooses an encounter battle.

The Stone Company confronts half a dozen Mennesker looking figures up ahead and decides to take no pause, driving forth in an attack! The figures turn towards the Stone Company, reveal their Skyggemen maws and lift up weapons in attack!

The Battle

Round 1

  • Stone Company: Attack
  • Skyggemen: Raid

Gerhdunn & Gunnar lead the attack against the Skyggemen, each of them eyeing one of the riders. The riders attempt to maneuver their horses around the encroaching mercenaries but there are too many! With no opening to take, Gerhdunn & Gunnar each swing their swords high at the riders atop the turning horses. They both connect! Gerhdunn cuts through the arm muscle of his target who in turn let's loose his reigns. With little control, the rider careens towards other mercs' blades and axes. Gunnar sidesteps the other oncoming rider and runs his blade along the leg of the rider, drawing blood!

Following their captains, the Stone Company begins flanking the skyggemen.

Battle Report

  • Stone Company: +2 PB, no injuries
  • Skyggemen: Scout Rider 1 (crippled), Scout Rider 2 (injured), 1 Infantry (suffering from previous injuries, reeling, crippled), 2 Militia (both suffering from previous injuries, reeling)

Round 2

  • Stone Company: Attack
  • Skyggemen: Full Retreat (they do not choose parley, nor would they accept a parley)

The Stone Company continues pressing in on the few Skyggemen, ignoring the footmen and trying to engage the riders. Unfortunately, the riders are too quick for any of the mercs to get any good attacks.

While most of his companions are focused on the riders, Milsar closes in on two infantry and taunts, "We are the Stones that cast a long shadow upon the Skyggemen. Fear us!"

Upon heralding your attack he drives his spear into, not one, but skewers two of the skygge-footmen in one thrust! The skyggemen lash out ineffectively. One slumps to the ground, dragging the other down with him.

Battle Results

  • Stone Company: +3 PB, no injuries
  • Skyggemen: Infantry (reeling, verge of collapse), Militia (unconscious), Militia (reeling), Riders (escaped)
    • The riders escaped this battle. That doesn't mean you can't track them down and attack them again. They are faster than you and will most likely be able to outrun you, however, they are both bleeding and unless their wounds heal on their own, they will need to stop and attempt to bandage themselves.

Round 3

  • Stone Company: Attack
  • Skyggemen: All-Out Attack

Only two skyggemen remain for the Stone Company to annihilate, and annihilate they do.

Gunnar fells one of the skyggemen with a slice to his leg. The skyggeman slumps to the ground and Gunnar orders those around him to jump back to avoid any acid spray from killing one of these creatures. The mercs do as they're told, not wanting to get too close. After a few brief moments, you realize the skyggeman is still breathing but motionless.

Sedredast drives his longspear into the other skyggeman's heart whose face goes blank and seconds later, a high pitched shrill emanates from his chest. The skyggeman slumps to the ground, convulsing. The shrill trails off, the skyggemen lies motionless, and nothing ever bursts from its chest.

Battle Results

  • Stone Company: Wins battle.
  • Skyggemen: 1 dead, 2 unconscious and bleeding

The Aftermath

You have two unconscious and one dead skyggemen at your feet. Well, after what warning Gunnar shouted, none of your mercs want to get to close. A few brief tense moments pass then Gunnar carefully treads towards the skyggemen. With no sign of movement, he quickly goes through their belongings.

  • A sharp dagger you give Thalli to upgrade her Poor Militia equipment to Average.
  • ₡55 coins worth of various items that you can carry easily. You don't take anything heavy, like damaged armor that isn't fitted for any of your mercs. The infantry's gear was substandard.

Continuing the Chase

The Stone Company continues the chase after the riders and the main skyggemen force. Within an hour they track down one of the riders unconscious. It appears he lost too much blood to carry on. The other rider is nowhere in sight. Gunnar proceeds cautiously up to the rider and goes through his gear. Unfortunately, his equipment was poor and his horse must have wandered off.

  • ₡23 coins worth of various items that you can carry easily.

In order to catch the main force, the heavy hitters stash their gear in order to lighten their load. The Stone Company continues as fast as they can and it pays off! In less than 8 hours, they confront the main force!

The Battle #2

Interlude

Knowing they are close to the enemy, the men move in taught silence. While the others rest, Gerhdunn and Gunnar discuss the battle to come, playing out hushed scenarios. During these rare breaks, the mercenaries exchange snippets of conversation:

"Did you see those arrows? Not many, but more in the Crows than in the dirt." "So they have a few archers. Good! Sedufleif needs some entertainment." "Hah! ... Yes, but what if they have more than a few archers?"

"They left two riders with their wounded. Why the hurry? Do you think they have more cavalry up ahead?"

"Its getting darker. They say the Skyggemen prefer darkness."

"If they sent this raiding party just to capture the Jarl, then they're picked men. This could be tough."

"Hunting an unknown number of elite Skyggemen, with cavalry and archers on their side. In the dark, nearing their fortress." "You said you wanted to live and to die a hero, man. Here's your chance." "The 'dying a hero' part will have to come later. I need a hero's welcome feast on Middenhem, so I can compare it to the one in Valhalla!"

Under the fading light of Sleeping Blålystid, the Stone Company marches into darkness.

Recon Test

  • Stone Company: Recon Score (16); Forced March (-1); No Security (-5); Faster (+1) = Total Modified Recon Score (16 - 5 = 11). Rolls a 7 (success by 4).
  • Skyggemen: Recon Score (unk); Forced March (-1) = Total Modified Recon Score (unknown -1). Rolls a ? (success by 2).
  • Stone Company wins initiative! Gains DB+3.

The light is fading across Middenhjem and you know that Skyggemen are more active in the dark. You figure in just over 4 delukes these lands will be crawling with more skyggemen when both Blålys & Rødlys are under the horizon and the deep violet hues of Kveltid cover Middenhjem. You worry somewhat at what advantages they may have during Sleeping Blålystid, but you forge ahead.

Your scouts quickly report that there are more than a dozen footmen, maybe two dozen. However, some of them may be prisoners. You can't tell quite yet. They also have 2-4 horsemen. They know we're here and are preparing! What should we do?

Do you choose an encounter or pitched battle?

Round 1

Pitched Battle

  • Stone Company: Defense (readying alchemist's fire for round 2) (+3 DB)
  • Skyggemen: Raid (At this point, SC can't estimate their bonuses)

Gerhdunn has been on alert for hours, eyeing the terrain for any advantage. When Ragugm runs back to the Stone Company formation, Gerhdunn immediately begins deploying the troops in a defensive ring anchored on a small ridge, with the woods protecting his rear. Gerhdunn and Gunnar move forward to lead from the front, with the Stone Company archers arrayed nearby. The rest of the mercs stand in loose formation, with the surgeon well to the rear. Appearing on the Skyggemen's flank, the Stone Company has the initiative!

In the fading light, the enemy line appears to writhe as men move to new positions to face the Company. An eternal second stretches out, thick with silence. Then the skies break and matte black arrows thud into the ground, clang off shields and helmets. A fist forms and is thrown towards the Company line; cavalry and fast infantry charge across the line, trying to disrupt the Company before it can solidify its position!

The raid crashes across the line, catching Ragugm returning to his post! He comes face-to-face with an enemy scout: in their seconds, Ragugm mistimes a block and is stabbed in the chest with a triangular Skyggeman hunting knife! His block lands a tenth of a second too late, cutting deep into the flesh of the enemy's hand! They stagger away from one another, Ragugm bleeding heavily. Elsewhere, a militiaman gets too close to Vollover, who stabs him through the thigh: the skyggeman barely makes it back to his own line.

The opening flirtation has passed, and each side has the measure of the other. Now for the true battle.

Results

  • Stone Company: Wins by 4! Ragugm -7 HP (bleeding and reeling)
  • Skyggemen: Militia (crippling leg wound!), Scout (crippling hand wound!)

Round 2

  • Stone Company: Defense (+3 DB, +3 Alchemist's Fire!)
  • Skyggemen: Deliberate Attack (opponent's DB halved, round up)
    • Stone Company changes to Deliberate Attack (+1, +1 Artillery Advantage, +3 Alchemist's Fire)
      • Skyggemen changes to Raid (+1 Cavalry Adv, +1 Recon Adv, +3 Cavalry)

Gerhdunn watches closely as the enemy raiding party returns to its line, and begins to form up into a classic, wide formation that will undermine the Company's defensive advantage. "Company! Form up! Let's get those prisoners!"

The Company begins a cautious advance, anchoring its movement around the ride behind it. The Skyggemen's advance halts, seeing the Company move from its defensive position. Moments pass, and again, the enemy's cavalry fist forms for a pass as the mercenary's flanks. The Stone Company grins mirthlessly as the growing roar of the charge descends upon them. "NOW! THROW IT!"

A small ember streaks across the sky, crashing into the ground in front of the raiding party. A thunderous boom shakes the earth as the Alchemist's Fire explodes, showering glass and flame. The raiding party splinters around it, its force spent. The leading cavalryman is caught in the burst, his leg twisted and broken by the force.

Despite blunting the raid, the Company is only able to make modest gains on the field. The Skyggemen archers are getting deadly as the two lines close; Aginey and Kvivnor take arrows to the chest - Kvivnor is shot through the lung and appears on the verge of collapse!

The Company's advance grinds to a halt under the arrow fire, having pivoted around the ridge to form a stronger position that threatens the enemy's flank.

Results

  • Stone Company: Wins by 1; +1 PB; Kvivnor -19 HP (bleeding and reeling); Aginey -6 HP (Bleeding)
  • Skyggemen: Cavalry (bleeding, crippling leg wound)

Round 3

  • Stone Company: Skirmish (Prepare Alchemist's Fire)
  • Skyggemen: Skirmish

Both forces eye one another, uncertain. The Skyggemen stall, trying to determine if the Stone Company has additional artillery to bring to bear. The Company knows that it does, but not this round! Both sides delay, exchanging archer fire and thrown javelins while trying to pick off the other's archers. A few tense moments pass: Aginey takes a glancing blow, while Sedufleif places an arrow squarely through the leg of an enemy infantryman!

Results

  • Stone Company: Aginey -4 HP
  • Skyggemen: Wins by 1; Infantry (bleeding, crippling leg wound)

Round 4

  • Stone Company: Defense (+1, +3 DB, +1 PB, +3 Alchemist Fire)
  • Skyggemen: Skirmish (+2+1 Fire Superiority, +1 Fire, +3 Cavalry)

The Stone Company hopes the enemy will conclude that they do not have any additional alchemist's fire, and so they settle in to defend their position. The Skyggemen remain cautious, staying just out of reach. Their cavalry ride back and forth, threatening the Company's flanks, while their archers continue to rain black death upon the mercenaries.

"Alright, that hill! NOW!"

The enemy archers see the Alchemist's Fire sailing towards their position on a low hill and panic; they run from the blast and are peppered with Company arrows during their flight. Two of them suffer injuries, from the explosion and from arrows. Both suffer crippling injuries and stagger into a new, less risky position behind their line! The brief explosion blinds the Company and the enemy cavalry brave the edge of the line, along with some Skyggemen infantry. Gerhdunn and Milsar step up to reinforce the flank and fight viciously: Gerhdunn lands a cruel blow to an infantryman's face, who immediately collapses. Milsar stabs another in the left arm, shattering the bone!

Unfortunately, the enemy Cavalry crash into them a moment later. Gerhdunn's chest is slashed open! Milsar is run through, impaled with a spear! Holding his chest shut, Gerhdunn grabs Milsar and props him up, dragging him back towards the surgeon.

Results (SC rolls 11, Skyggemen roll 8)

  • Stone Company: Gerhdunn -14 HP (bleeding, reeling, verge of collapse); Milsar -33 HP ((bleeding, reeling, verge of collapse)
  • Skyggemen: Two archers injured (bleeding, crippled); 1 Infantry injured (bleeding, crippled), 1 Infantry knocked unconscious!

Round 5

  • Stone Company: Skirmish (+2, +1 PB), Preparing Alchemist's Fire
  • Skyggemen: Skirmish (+2, +3 Cavalry, -2 Rally Wavering Troops)

Once again, the Stone Company settles in to prepare another volley of Alchemist's Fire. This is their third and last vial, so it will have to count. To preserve their lines, Gunnar orders the Company to loose skirmish formation. Across the field, the Skyggemen commander can be heard bellowing to his troops, trying to preserve their order. His sway over them begins to collapse as the fanatical Skyggemen move into more aggressive positions!

The Company uses the lull to draw the wounded back, so Talli can begin bandaging them. Even supported by Gerdunn, Milsar collapses from his injuries! Sedufleif, the Company's best archer, catches an arrow in the chest! Arninn is wounded in a brief skirmish, and draws back into the lines.

Trying to lead from the front to inspire his men, the Skyggemen's leader - one of their Cavalry - is caught on the open field by Vollover! The giant Mennesker faces down the enemy captain, and deals two blows across his chest, leaving a giant, bloody X through his armor! The captain reels back, blood pouring across his mount, but he does not die. The Skyggemen see this exchange and many return to their positions, listening to their leader.

Results (SC rolls 12, Skyggemen roll 7!)

  • Stone Company: Milsar collapses from injuries; Sedufleif -9 HP (bleeding, reeling); Arninn -7 HP (bleeding)
  • Skyggemen: Captain Cavalry takes a severe blow to the chest (bleeding, reeling, verge of collapse); Many wavering troops rallied

Round 6

  • Stone Company: Deliberate Attack (+1, +1 Artillery Superiority, +3 Alchemist Fire, +2 TS Mod)
  • Skyggemen: Raid, change to Skirmish as a result of SC Deliberate Attack (+2, +3 Cavalry Advantage)

As the wounded mount, a desperate situation emerges. Talli moves from merc to merc, bandaging wounds. Gunnar sends the wounded to the rear, staying towards the front with the as-yet-unwounded archer Raginast. Gerhdunn continues to manage the battlefield, despite his grave injuries: his orders ring out over the cries of the wounded and the clash of steel on steel.

The Skyggemen begin to form up for another raid at the Company's lines, but their men are spread out, losing their cohesion as individuals become more - or less - aggressive than the others.

"Gerhdunn, now is the time! They're in disarray!"

"Company! Form up!"

The Skyggemen's leader watches as the Company prepares to advance, and calls out to his own troops. The raiding party collapses onto itself, and they fall back into skirmishing positions.

"NOW! NOW!"

Once again, the Alchemist's Fire sails out, covering the Company's advance from the enemy's arrows and cavalry. In the burning after image, Mennesker descend on the Skyggemen lines! In the chaos, the Skyggemen are forced back, their lines collapsing. The Company fills the void and has a strong position, flanking their enemy. Unfortunately, Vollover's bravery in facing the enemy captain made him a target, and several Skyggemen charge him: in the melee, he is stabbed three or four times. Sedufleif is stabbed in the right arm, which hangs nearly uselessly at his side. Both are shuffled back to the rear to see the surgeon.

The enemy fared worse: an enemy archer (Zugdel) is trampled by a horse and his foot is crushed; a militia man (Jingrec) is thrown to the ground and stabbed repeatedly, defending himself with his arm - which is nearly severed. Raginast stabs the remaining archer (Cujez) through the face; despite the gruesome injury, he remains standing!

Results (SC rolls 13, Skyggemen roll 13!)

  • Stone Company: +2 PB; Sedufleif -7 HP (bleeding, RA crippled, collapsed!); Vollover -22 HP (bleeding, verge of collapse)
  • Skyggemen: Zugdel crushing damage to foot (bleeding, reeling, crippled); Jingrec crippling cut to the arm (bleeding, crippled); Cujez major impaling wound to the face (bleeding, reeling, crippled, verge of collapse)

Round 7

  • Stone Company: Mobile Defense (+3 PB, +3 DB, +2 TS Advantage)
  • Skyggemen: Raid (+2, +3 Cavalry Advantage)

The Stone Company has advanced far enough to give the prisoners a chance at freedom. The battle has suddenly swung in the Company's favor: they had a strong position on the field, threatening to roll up the enemy's flank. They've crippled the Skyggemen archers, ending their fire superiority, and badly injured their cavalry as well as their leader, effectively limiting their striking power. On the other hand, the Company has suffered serious injuries to its own archers, as well as its heaviest hitters: Vollover, Milsar, and Gerhdunn, not to mention numerous other injuries. Despite the advantage, if the Stone Company continues to take injuries at this rate, they may win the battle and lose the war - being too badly injured to escape. They have also spent the last of the Alchemist's fire, so their advantages are fleeting.

Throughout the battle, it has been clear that Gerhdunn is the superior tactician. Only the enemy's advantages in cavalry and fire power have evened the battle. "They're madmen, they'll attack again! Lure them in and bleed 'em dry!" Deciding to risk their position on the battlefield in order to gain an advantage in attrition, the Stone Company falls into a mobile defense. The Skyggemen prepare a counter-attack to follow them through and regain their footing; their cavalry and footmen charging towards the mass of the Stone Company's van. The Company gives way before them, skirting ahead, dodging spears and lances. As the enemy raid loses momentum and turns towards home, Gerhdunn shouts: "Center! Forward! Crush them!"

The bloodied mercenaries break off after the Skyggemen raid like wolves; blackened blood sears across the sky. Gunnar pursues the Skyggemen Captain, Uuzgul, and stabs him through the torso, tearing through the gaping 'X' Vollover gave him before. The Captain cries out and falls from his horse, dead. The archer Cujez is trampled, his leg shattering: he falls unconscious. Zugdel, the remaining archer, is impaled with an arrow through the chest - he screams his rage and remains standing! Others are injured in the fray, but no Stone man is wounded.

Seeing their Captain die, another Skyggeman rises to claim control of the enemy force. Bellowing and staking his own men, he is able to keep the unit cohesive.

Results (SC rolls 12, Skyggemen roll 12)

  • Stone Company: no injuries; Vollover collapses from previous wounds
  • Skyggemen: Zugdel impaling wound to the torso (bleeding, reeling, verge of collapse); Cujez crushing wound to the leg (collapsed!); Xuroon impaling wound to the leg (bleeding, crippled); Captain Uuzgul killing cut to the torso!; Kaxech minor impaling to the leg; the new commander takes solid control of the troops

Round 8

  • Stone Company: Mobile Defense
  • Skyggemen: The new commander calls for an All-Out Attack

"Our purpose here is to rescue these prisoners, not to kill Skyggemen! They're broken, they will have to run - or die to the last." The Stone Company takes up positions as before, preparing to fall back and wear down their opponent should they be foolish enough to attack again.

Facing his first role in command, the new Skyggeman leader seeks to make a name for himself. This is the time! He rides to the front and commands an all-out attack!

The withered Skyggeman force bravely tries to close the distance, but the Stone Company easily avoids their advances. They stay just out of reach during the apex of the charge, and counter as it passes, separating the column into two. Hugum steps up and takes a mighty two-handed swing at Xuroon, the Skyggeman's new leader, and lops his left leg clean off! He fumbles on his horse and collapses, falling into the dirt! The militia are brutalized, one suffering a crushed leg when he is thrown to the ground, and another losing a hand when he gets too close to Gunnar. Bjornanam beats one of their scouts senseless with his shield, crippling the scout's arm.

The Skyggeman column falls back on itself, badly bloodied.

Results (Skyggemen roll a 6!! SC rolls a 7!)

  • Stone Company: no injuries
  • Skyggemen: Zugdel minor wound; Xuroon LL severed! and collapses; Ooquc slash to leg (reeling); Vuvgig leg crushed (crippled, bleeding); Kaxech hand severed! (bleeding, crippled); Rigdux arm crushed (crippled, bleeding)

Round 9

  • Stone Company: Mobile Defense
  • Skyggemen: All-Out Defense
    • Both Forces chose Defense, therefore, both are considered Skirmish

Having lost their second leader in as many rounds, the Skyggemen stall as a new leader emerges. He is able to keep them together, barely! He orders an all-out defense while they reform. The Stone Company has been taking advantage of their opponent's recklessness, and continues with the mobile defense strategy. Over a few minutes, it becomes clear neither side is advancing: the battle bogs down into an indecisive skirmish as badly wounded archers trade shots. A few of the Skyggemen try to get close enough to throw javelins, and receive decisive injuries for their trouble.

Results (Skyggemen roll an 11, SC rolls an 11)

  • Stone Company: no injuries
  • Skyggemen: Xexoog injured; Zugdel impaled in torso (verge of collapse); Ooquc slash to the torso (collapsed); Xuxeg bleeds (verge of collapse)

Round 10

  • Stone Company: Indirect Attack
  • Skyggemen: All-Out Defense

"Now. Let us finish this. We need to push the Skyggemen far enough back that we can recover all of the prisoners. Their lines are broken, and they are badly injured: they are so aggressive they will not be surprised if we appear to go into a head long rush. You four, go wide and come upon them from that hill. Kill the Skyggemen guarding the prisoners and then defend them. The rest of us: to fame and glory!"

The Skyggemen hunker down to make their enemy pay for every inch of soil. They beat their weapons and shields, reveling in the bloodshed. As the main body of the Stone Company approach from the front, a small body descends from the rear. The result is total chaos, with the Skyggemen being driven by blow after bloody blow, refusing to give way. Every last Skyggeman suffers an injury, some small, some large. Every able bodied mercenary lands a blow, and heroic deeds abound.

When the melee breaks, the Skyggemen have been pushed back well beyond the prisoners. The Stone Company has rescued six prisoners, including four Crows, the Jarl, and the Jarlinde (i.e., a female jarl, in this case the Jarl's sister.)

Results (SC 8, Skyggemen 11)

  • Stone Company: no injuries; +3 PB
  • Skyggemen: Cegdouch takes a slash to the face (collapses); Ugiz Vurihn impaling wound to the arm (bleeding, crippled, verge of collapse); Zugdel takes a slash to the face (verge of collapse, bleeding, crippled); Vuvgig's hand is crushed (bleeding, reeling, crippled); Kaxech brutally impaled in the torso and the wyrm shrills as it dies (dead); Jingrec slashed in the torso (collapses); Xexoug gets a crushing blow to the torso (reeling); Ujex's arm is crushed (bleeding, verge of collapse, crippled); Zaavgeg's arm is brutally pierced (collapses); Rigdux's arm is destroyed (verge of collapse, bleeding, crippled)

Round 11+

The Stone Company decisively frees the captives and continually moves backwards as any remaining verge of collapse Skyggemen advance. It's only a matter of minutes until all Skyggemen succumb to their wounds and collapse as they attempt any form of charge.

The Aftermath

The Stone Company saved the Jarl, his sister, and half a dozen Crow Mercs. They quickly bandage their wounded and start marching towards Klofningar.

Being Chased by Skyggemen

After a deluke of travel and expecting to travel one more deluke, they are confronted by Skyggemen riders who have been hot on their trail!
