Nations and Organizations of Middenhjem
WARNING: the information contained below details specific information to characters having the Area Knowledge (Middenhjem, or other) skill. |
Mennesker
Middle Home. Inhabited by the Mennesker and many other races and beasts.
Middenhjem is roughly split into two kingdoms: Middenøst and Middenvest. Many villages, towns, and cities dot the landscape and are under feudal rule of the Jarls and ultimately a King.
Middenøst
Ruled by King Mileas Sedorsen who dwells in Hafrafell, the largest settlement in all of Middenhjem and in the heart of Middenøst.
Settlement | Ruler | Population | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Hafrafell | King Mileas Sedorsen | 59,759 | The largest settlement in all of Middenhjem and in the heart of Middenøst. Recent battles against the Skyggemenn have left many of the farmlands ravaged. The king has not called an all out war with the Skyggemenn yet, but many expect it to come soon. |
Skali | Priests of Anast | 19,541 | While it is nestled in the Middenøst, Skali does not answer to the King. Instead Priests of Anast wield complete control over the town and surrounding area. Nestled on the outskirts of the Fjalirwod on the western shore. It is rumored that there are untold riches in the town. |
Bravollr | Jarl Aninn Gottastsen | 8,135 | Founded on the edge of the Lysogild in the south, Bravollr's architecture and stained glasses accentuates the red and blue hues cast from Blålys & Rødlys. Artists from all Middenhjem share ideas here. |
Klofningar | Jarl Hale Thorarsen | 5,949 | Currently at war with the Skyggemenn attacking from the northwest. |
Faereyjar | Jarl Krisor Herlamsen | 4,215 | An ugly city with utilitarian stone buildings that serve its populace. If attacked it would prove quite defensible. |
Kjarra | Jarl Borald Elumsen | 3,915 | Kjarra has had troubles of late. Followers of Anast (with aid from Skali) have been rising up against the local rulers. Jarl Borald has pleaded with King Mileas for aid in bringing battle to Skali. Many of the residents of the village live in ancient underground tunnels. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why they have been able to hold out against Skali. |
Ormsdalr | Jarl Herlthika Raguvastdøttr | 3,549 | Jarl Herlthika maintains a tight grip on the village |
Hafnarfjoror | Jarl Borer Ellastsen | 2,848 | Utilitarian buildings line the town square. Ruled by a former military captain, the Jarl has assigned all of his vassals specific ranks in a highly structured caste system. |
Hegranes | Jarl Anulves Kvivstsen | 2,165 | As it lies between two kingdoms amidst rolling hills, Hegranes is constantly changing loyalty based on show of force from either kingdom. Currently, Jarl Anulves has sworn fealty to King Mileas. Hegranes is suffering financially as neither kingdom has ever invested fully into the village. |
Deildara | Jarl Age Eifesen | 764 | Far from the center of Middenøst, Deildara lies at the western most point of the kingdom. Almost all of the buildings in the hamlet are made from stone from the surrounding cliffs along the Hestfjorsjø Sea. Jarl Age rules with an iron fist to protect his vassals from constant pirate raids. |
Middenvest
Ruled by King Gunnar Torraesen who dwells in Asbjarnakiv on the eastern most shore of Middenvest.

Kelgik
The Kelgik are a nomadic collection of peoples ranging from Mennesker, Dokrari, Asma, and even other non-human races. They rarely settle down in one place for long periods of time, though it isn't unheard of for a prosperous Kelgik warlord to conquer a Middenøst or Middenvest settlement and become its ruler. Even then, usually these situations are short-lived as constant in-fighting occurs between tribes as well as retaliation from Middenhjem armies.
Known Tribes | Ruler | Location | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Echani | Daemyn (killed) | plains northeast of Faereyjar | kidnapped and raised Gehrdunn, tribe now scattered |
Strios Thium | Helion | plains northeast of Faereyjar | rumored to run illegal businesses in Faereyjar (Tonormo and Bronze Needles) |
