Over two-thirds of the population is made up of local peasant farmers and labors, who are of little importance other than for the drudgery involved with building and maintaining the town and harvesting the baron's fields. They are afforded few rights and completely lack in privileges. Approximately, a quarter of the town is made up of the tradesmen, a group with varied skills and nominal wealth, and having somewhat more rights and privileges than the peasantry. Some have taken to considering themselves "freemen", but in fact they are just as beholden to their noble masters as are the peasantry. The remaining portion of the population is made up of the nobility, those of importance who have wealth, influence, rights and privileges befitting their status. They are the preeminent business owners of the town, as well as those who hold offices of authority in the barony.
